At the annual meeting of the Sacred Heart Academy Foundation, Inc on July 23, the trustees approved payouts from the Named Funds within the endowment. Sacred Heart Academy is blessed to have the support of the SHA Foundation, along with family and individual donors who give because they believe in the value of Catholic education. Since its inception in 1976, the SHA Foundation has given more than $5.82 million in support to the Academy.
Following are the named fund payouts for 2020:
Tuition Assistance awards:
New tuition funds paying for the first time this year:
The total tuition assistance dollars made available from named funds for the 2020-21 school year is $26,000.
In addition, the following funds provided money to the Academy budget for other purposes:
The $41,500 total benefit from Named Funds is being given in addition to $395,000 of operational support for Sacred Heart Academy and another $100,000 to cover COVID-related expenses, bringing total support from the SHA Foundation for the 2020-21 school year to over $536,000.
