On August 6th, 1872, three acres of land were donated to begin the building for a new church. From the nucleus of 15 families to the present day number of 1200 families, the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus has grown in many dimensions. We are a faith filled community that practices the spiritual and corporal works of mercy, such as, sheltering the homeless, feeding the hungry, visiting the sick, and providing the sacramental life of the Catholic Church to all who want to meet Christ.
