The Facilities Director supervises and coordinates the activities of the custodial staff and maintains the physical buildings and grounds of the parish and school. Responsibilities include performing repairs and maintenance to ensure the physical plant is in good repair and working order; working with contractors, vendors, and architects as appropriate; ensuring Sacred Heart complies with applicable safety and fire regulations and federal, state, and local building codes; and ordering maintenance materials and custodial supplies.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or college degree with related experience. Candidates should also possess computer skills, demonstrated ability to supervise staff, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Familiarity with blueprint reading, hazardous waste disposal, building codes, and fire and safety regulations is preferred.
The Facilities Director reports to the Business Manager and collaborates with the Pastor and school administrators. This is a full-time position with on-call responsibility for emergencies. Sacred Heart Academy is seeking part-time school bus drivers. Our drivers provide transportation to and from athletic events, field trips, and other school/parish activities. This position pays competitive wages ($20.00 per hour and meal stipend), and we will reimburse training expenses.
Must have, or be able to attain, a valid Michigan commercial driver license class B with P and S endorsements, and a DOT health certificate.
