The Adult Faith Formation team strives to bring people together to study their faith, so, together, they can grow closer to the Lord. To reach this goal, various types of programming are offered throughout the year from large multi-day parish missions, group presentations, book clubs and ongoing study groups. While gathering restrictions have changed or canceled many or our activities, some are resuming, and future events are being actively planned. Watch this page for updates.
The Stations of the Cross, provide a guided reflection on the passion and death of Jesus beginning with him being condemned to death and ending with him being laid in the tomb. Group Stations of the Cross will be led by a different person or group each Friday during Lent at 4:30 p.m. in the Church. No reservation is required. Booklets are also available in the parish office for individual reflection.
A hybrid online/in-person discussion of Pope Francis’s latest Encyclical Letter, Fratelli Tutti On Fraternity and Social Friendship, is being held during the Easter Season. In-person meetings will take place on Wednesday evenings during the Easter Season (April 7 – May 19) from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. In addition, daily discussion questions will be posted online for group members to discuss. Participants may choose to participate in the online portion, the in-person portion or both.
Advance registration is required to allow us to have adequate space to maintain social distancing. There is no cost to attend. To register, please contact Mark in the parish office, (989) 772-1385.
This year, at Christmas, Sacred Heart offered the book Do Something Beautiful for God: The Essential Teachings of Mother Teresa as a gift to anyone interested. A limited number of copies of this book, as well as books from previous years, are still available in the parish office.
Online resources exist for individual faith formation. A small sample is listed below. Additional resources will be added over time.
